Clinical Trials Pharmacist - Non-Oncology

Location

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (start/end times may vary, not to exceed 5:30 PM; no weekends; no major holidays; minor holiday coverage may be required)

Key Responsibilities

Dispense research medications to subjects enrolled in clinical trials and ensure all medication orders comply with approved protocols
Review protocol documents and amendments for drug safety and feasibility, and draft corresponding dispense instructions
Oversee the safe handling and preparation of investigational sterile and non-sterile medications
Supervise technician activities and perform quality control checks; provide drug information to other healthcare professionals
Triage and participate in sponsor monitoring visits and audits
Act as a liaison between the Clinical Trials Pharmacy and compounding areas, review patient medications for appropriateness and drug interactions, and ensure compliance with applicable state and federal pharmacy laws

Required Qualifications

Active Massachusetts Pharmacist License in good standing
Knowledge of investigational drug use regulations and compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws
Experience reviewing clinical trial protocols and drafting pharmacy dispense instructions
Ability to oversee sterile and non-sterile compounding and investigational medication preparation

Preferred Experience / Skills

Prior experience working within a clinical trials pharmacy environment
Familiarity with sponsor monitoring visits, audits, and GCP guidelines
Experience serving as a liaison between pharmacy departments and compounding units
