Traveling Licensed Journeyman Electricians – Cedar Rapids, IA

PREMIER TRADE SERVICES IS HIRING!

Premier Trade Services is currently hiring Traveling Licensed Journeyman Electrician for a major Data Center project in Cedar Rapids, Iowa .

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced commercial and industrial electricians looking for long-term work, significant overtime, and a strong per diem package .

PAY & SCHEDULE

• 55+ hours per week
• 6 days per week
• Overtime available
• Daily per diem for qualified travelers
• Employees who work all 6 scheduled days will receive 7 days of per diem
• Long-term project opportunity

Per diem eligibility requirements apply.

LICENSE REQUIREMENT

Candidates must have a current Journeyman Electrician License from Iowa or hold a Journeyman License from a state that can reciprocate with Iowa.

Premier Trade Services can consider qualified electricians willing and able to complete the Iowa license reciprocity process before starting.

States with electrician license reciprocity with Iowa include:

Alaska, Arkansas, Colorado, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Texas, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Traveling Journeyman Electricians will perform commercial and industrial electrical work including:

• Install, bend, and run EMT and rigid conduit
• Bend offsets, 3-point saddles, 4-point saddles, kicks, and 90s
• Cut, thread, and install rigid conduit
• Install cable tray and raceway systems
• Pull and route electrical wire and cable
• Install and terminate electrical panels
• Install switchgear, feeders, transformers, fixtures, outlets, and electrical devices
• Perform electrical terminations
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and project drawings
• Layout electrical installations from drawings and specifications
• Troubleshoot electrical systems and field issues
• Operate scissor lifts and other aerial equipment when required
• Follow NEC requirements, project specifications, and OSHA safety standards
• Coordinate effectively with supervisors, foremen, and other trades
• Maintain a safe, clean, and productive work area
• Complete assigned work efficiently with minimal supervision

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• Current Journeyman Electrician License
• Minimum 5+ years of recent commercial or industrial electrical experience
• Data center experience is highly preferred
• Strong conduit bending skills
• Experience working with EMT and rigid conduit
• Ability to read and work from electrical blueprints
• Experience with panels, switchgear, feeders, and electrical equipment
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to work effectively as part of a large construction team
• Dependable attendance and commitment to completing the project
• Willingness to work 60+ hours per week / 6 days per week
• Must meet company and project safety requirements

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• Data center construction
• Large commercial or industrial projects
• Switchgear and electrical distribution systems
• Motor controls
• Generators
• Cable tray
• Lighting control systems
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
• Scissor lift / aerial lift certification
