Staff Physician – Quick Care/Urgent Care

Description

We are seeking a Staff Physician for a full-time Quick Care/Urgent Care position in Las Vegas, Nevada. The physician will provide professional medical services and perform required administrative duties while caring for adult and pediatric patients .

This is an at-will, exempt position that will serve at the pleasure of the CEO. The position offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including an employer-paid Nevada PERS pension plan.

This position is part of a major academic medical center serving Southern Nevada. The medical center serves as the anchor hospital of the Las Vegas Medical District and provides a high level of care to promote successful patient outcomes.

Compensation:

• Salary: $112.55–$147.44 per hour

Job Responsibilities

• Provide professional physician services in the Quick Care/Urgent Care setting.
• Evaluate and treat adult and pediatric patients.
• Provide appropriate medical care based on patient needs.
• Develop and implement appropriate care plans.
• Make effective clinical decisions during stressful and emergency circumstances.
• Provide appropriate referrals and coordinate with outside agencies when necessary.
• Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement activities.
• Follow department and facility safety procedures.
• Follow infection control policies and procedures.
• Respect and protect patient rights.
• Follow emergency response procedures.
• Perform required administrative duties.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, families, and healthcare personnel.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of medicine .
• Some positions may require two years of clinical practice experience .
• Valid Nevada medical license — required.
• Nevada State Pharmacy Board License to prescribe medications — required.
• DEA Controlled Substance Registration Certificate — required.
• BLS certification accepted by the American Heart Association (AHA) — required.
